Evan Gallinetti:

Evan is a 17 year old senior, and is a second year member of the Falconaire. She is a co-Editor-in-Chief. Her best articles are sports and school news articles. She is on the Varsity Cheerleading team and involved in Key Club

Michelle Futerfas:

Michelle is a 16 year old senior, and is in her third year of the Falconaire. Currently, she is a co Editor-in-Chief. She is involved in FBLA, Key Club, SADD, yearbook and a Transition Facilitator.

Features Editor:

Katie Hieber is a sophomore; this is her second year working for the Falconaire. Aside from writing, Katie is also works as the Features editor and works on layout. She is part of several clubs and takes part in many activities outside of school, such as art class and piano lessons. In her free time, she enjoys reading and watching movies. Her favorite types of articles to write are features and news. In the future, she plans to go to college and study journalism.

Opinions Editor:

Devan Marotta is an 18 year old senior. This is his first time writing for the Falconaire as well as being an editor. As well as being the Opinions Editor, Devan is involved in DECA and Life club. Devan also plays guitar and is currently the lead guitar player for the jazz band.

Sports Editor:

Max Vandervliet is an 18 year old senior who enjoys writing.  It is his first year on staff for the Falconaire, but has previously contributed several articles.  In his spare time, Max likes to snowboard and travel to new places.  He enjoys running and is a member of the MRHS Track and Field team.  Next year, Max will be attending college and plans to major in Political Science and minor in Film Production.

Technology Editor and Lead Webmaster:

At 16 years old, Stephen Weber is the Technology Editor for the Falconaire. This is his first year in the journalism class but he has written for the paper the past two years. He helped spawn the idea of a website for the Falconaire simply by nagging Mrs. Collett that it should have one. He admits to being a Mac fanboy and enjoys writing news and reviews for the paper. In his spare time, he can be found sitting at his desk spending time as community administrator of zentendo.com, beta testing, or checking his Facebook and Twitter  (and occasionally gaming on his Wii). He plans to major in Information Technology but enjoys writing as a hobby. He lives by the quotes “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.” and “Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

Michelle Gundel:

Michelle Gundel is a staff writer for the Falconaire this year and a member of the layout team. She is a seventeen year old senior here at Monmouth and is very involved in her school. Michelle participates in many extra curricular activities such as SADD, FBLA, and Key Club. Michelle is also captain of the varsity cheerleading team at Monmouth and has been cheering since she was six years old. Michelle works hard at everything she does and truly enjoys writing for the paper.

Tannu Singh:

Tannu Singh is a senior at Monmouth Regional High School. Tannu is very active in the school and has participated in numerous activities and clubs. She is president of the environmental club; LIFE (Living In and For the Environment).This is her first year in the journalism class but has written articles and drawn cartoons for previous issues. She enjoys being outside, reading, and drawing. Tannu’s favorite singer is Bob Dylan. In the future Tannu wants to be a criminal investigator.

Lyndsay Kutiack:

Lyndsay Kutiak is a freshman and a new writer for the Falconaire. Besides writing articles for the newspaper, she also does the layout. Out of her journalism life, she is on the field hockey team, in the Latin club, and fbla.

Lindsey Ahern is a 17 year old senior at Monmouth Regional High School. This is her first year writing and taking pictures for the Falconaire. She has been taking photography for the past four years. She also used to play soccer during her freshman and sophomore years. She is also a member of SADD and Spanish club. During sophomore year, she was inducted into the National Spanish Honor Society. Last year, she was vice president of my class. She plans on going to college to major in some field of journalism or photojournalism.

Cara Mullin:

Cara Mullin is a seventeen year old senior at Monmouth Regional High School. She is a first year writer for the Falconaire and a member of the photography team. Cara is very involved in Key Club, FBLA, Yearbook and more. In her free time, Cara works at Jersey Mike’s Subs.

Melanie Cicirelli:

Freshman Melanie Cicirelli is a new member to the Falconaire. She loves photography, music, fashion, art and quotes. During class, she likes to write articles on opinions or inspirational features and variety’s. Her spare time is spent having fun, writing lyrics, being creative and always thinking of something. She would love to move to the city to pursue anything with fashion, photography or writing. She kills for cupcakes and puts in time to make every article amazing!

Sarah Cobuzzi:

Sarah Cobuzzi is a 16 year old junior.  Her favorite type of article to write is reviews because she loves to give her opinion on certain books and TV shows.  She love creative writing and hopes to be an author someday, so being in journalism and writing articles gives her a chance to explore a new genre.  Besides writing, Sarah’s other hobbies are reading, acting, and being in color guard.  Keep a look out for her articles in the upcoming issues of the Falconaire and the Falconaire online!

Andelica DeFilippis:

This is Angelica DeFilippis first year of journalism. She is a senior here at MRHS and will soon be going off to college. She loves writing opinion articles and her favorite part of the Falconaire is the horoscopes.

Keona George:

Keona was born in Virginia and moved to New Jersey when she was 8 years old. She’s a senior at Monmouth Regional and enjoys writing about fashion, music, and current events. Keona loves her friends and family, and though she’s tiny she probably eats more than anyone you know.

Jimmie King:

Jimmie is a senior and a first year member of the Falconaire. He enjoys writing articles that will catch people’s attention, open your eyes to something you didn’t know about or didn’t know a lot about. But his favorite article to write is restaurant reviews; he truly enjoys every bite of his food. Jimmie is also varsity pole vaulter and is apart of the New Jersey Youth Council. Through this council Jimmie does a lot of volunteer work such as Katrina relief and Relay for life. Following his graduation this year Jimmie wants to go to college for Public Relations and live a happy successful life.

Elizabeth Kurau:

Elizabeth Kurau is a 14 year old freshmen at monmouth regional. She likes writing opinion pieces for the falconaire and does not like writing sport articles. After school, she is in French club and goes to the weight room. She plans to be in the Falconaire all of high school.

Michelle Leonardo:

Michelle Leonardo is a 17 year old senior. This is her first year here at Monmouth, she transferred this year from Red Bank Catholic. Michelle has been dancing since the age of three. She has held three national dance titles including Teen Miss Starquest and Star Systems Top Advanced Soloist. She has won numerous dance scholarships and attended the Governors School of NJ this past summer for dance. Last October, Michelle was crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA for the Miss Universe Organization and Donald Trump Affiliates. Over her reign, she traveled all over New Jersey doing charity work with organizations like The American Heart Association, The Ronald McDonald House, and The Sunshine Foundation.

Michelle has been modeling and acting since the age of five. She has been in two national commercials, has appeared on the Guiding Light and has been in numerous print ads including Polaroid, Million Dollar Baby Swimsuits and Sesame Street Kids. She just booked her first movie titled “Hip Hop High the Musical,” which is being produced by Z-Man films and MTV. She has been in three Seventeen Magazine Fashion shows including one for NYC Fall Fashion Week. She lives for the stage and has been in a number of plays including The Wizard of Oz, A Christmas Carol, Annie, Kids Cabaret, West Side Story and The Nutcracker. This is Michelle’s first year writing for the Falconaire, where she is the current sports editor. She lives by the quote, “My greatest pleasure in life is doing what other people say you can not do.”

Vanessa Linder:

Vanessa Linder, a seventeen-year old senior, makes her debut writing for the Falconaire in the year ’08-’09. She is an aspiring journalist and hopes to take it up in college. She enjoys writing more of opinionated pieces because she always has something to say about an issue. She also is a member of the marching band and the manager of jazz band. Her cousin, who majored journalism when she was her age, inspired her to take up journalism. Another great impact was being published in a nationwide newspaper called the High School Writer. She even participated in the school musical last year, Gypsy. She knows that she will go far with her writing and hopefully one day you may see her in a major magazine or paper.

Dennis Murachanian:

Dennis is a 16-year-old sophomore beginning his first year as a member on the Falconaire staff. He is involved in the FCA and is not a major fan of playing sports. He lived in Lincroft, NJ for ten years and then moved to Tinton Falls, NJ at the age of eleven.

Isadora Quelhas:

Izzy Quelhas is a freshman. It’s her first year in journalism and she really likes it. She says journalism is one of her options for a college major. She loves to write and interview people. She likes to write fun stories, and nothing too intense. She finds writing a good way to get rid of stress.  She plays the guitar and writes songs. She also plays tennis and does track.

Krista Wright:

Krista Wright is a 16-year old junior here at Monmouth Regional. She just moved to New Jersey from Okinawa, Japan. Call her crazy, but she absolutely loves it here. She likes writing about movies and music, and pretty much whatever happens to be on her mind. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends, dying her hair, playing Nintendo 64, and going to concerts.

Andrew Young:
Andrew is a 14 year old freshmen. He likes writing for the paper because he likes to write his opinion. During his spare time he skateboards, draws, plays guitar, football, and video games.

Christopher Zweig is a 16 year old junior who loves movies. He has created a movie logo called “C.J.’s Movie Madhouse.” His favorite movie to review by far is “Burn After Reading” starring George Clooney, Francis McDormand, and Brad Pitt.
